Jillian Thompson is a multidisciplinary artist whose works delve into the contemporary black women's experience using a diverse range of materials. From metalwork to silkscreen, fibers, photo collage, and found objects, Thompson intricately explores narratives of culture and self-expression through wearable's and imagery. Her work has been exhibited at Emerge Gallery, MCLA Gallery 51, and Alt Summit Conference in Palm Springs. Currently, Thompson is an Instructor at El Camino College in Torrance. Thompson has completed her Master’s of Fine Arts in Jewelry & Metalsmithing at California State University Long Beach in 2020. |
